What challenges call for innovation?

We are looking for solutions which include:

  • construction materials capable of absorbing CO2, with mechanical and chemical properties similar to those of existing materials used in construction,
  • technologies that optimise asphalt and cement production, increasing efficiency and sustainability
    including green asphalt,
  • prefabrication enabling faster, more efficient construction with less resource consumption,
  • energy and heat management systems for site offices and welfare facilities,
  • easte management systems on construction sites – minimising, recycling and closed loop.

We are looking for solutions which include:

  • drone, satellite, IoT inspection for comprehensive quality assessment and predictive maintenance solutions,
  • innovative methods to increase the efficiency of 3D printing technology,
  • innovative building materials, including self-healing properties, protective concrete,
  • monitoring the quality of floors – analysis of their structure, strength and early identification of potential defects,
  • multispectral detection in existing infrastructure.

We are looking for solutions which include:

  • vision systems for monitoring construction sites, automatic threat detection and safety control,
  • intelligent systems for detecting people in danger and emergency work stoppages,
  • robots and drones for work in difficult and dangerous conditions.

We are looking for solutions which include:

  • energy storage systems and their efficiency management,
  • DSR (demand-side response) systems to optimise consumer energy consumption,
  • intelligent energy management systems to analyse and reduce consumption in real time,
  • passive energy solutions in buildings to reduce energy demand.

We are looking for solutions which include:

  • analysis of tender documentation and selection of contracts based on specified boundary conditions,
  • low-code or no-code systems enabling users to create their own AI tools,
  • automation of the construction design process,
  • optimization of coordination processes and prediction of work progress,
  • automation of bills of quantities and construction work measurements,
  • support for the risk assessment process when acquiring contracts.

We are looking for solutions which include:

  • autonomous devices in the construction process, especially for repetitive work such as material transport, earthworks and quality control, which improve the efficiency and precision of projects,
  • automatic inventory of building materials, inventory management, order automation.

FAQs

The program offers a flexible acceleration model, which can take the form of non-equity, equity or revenue share. After pitching individually for each of the selected startups, we will adjust the best model of cooperation. The choice depends on a number of factors, such as the stage of development of the startup and the scale of resources needed for its growth and implementation of the solution.

Yes, it is possible to finance part or all of the implementation. After pitching, the selected startups will be invited to discuss the scope of the pilot and the cost of its implementation. Funding will be determined on a case-by-case basis as part of the acceleration agreement, depending on the startup’s needs and project requirements.

We offer access to infrastructure and a variety of Budimex resources (e.g. data, tools), as well as support from industry experts, engineers and managers. We will help you adapt your innovation to the real needs of the industry, provide funding opportunities for development, testing and pilot implementation.

The number of startups invited to the accelerator is not defined in advance. After pitching, based on a ranking list, a few of the best startups will be invited to collaborate first. During the course of the program, we may ask further companies from the ranking list (in individual contact).

It is possible to continue business cooperation after the accelerator ends. If your startup needs additional funding to grow and scale, we can help you in organising an investment round. In addition, if our cooperation proves fruitful, we can support you in further business development and expansion using our experience and network.

Yes, startups registered outside Poland can apply. However, we carry out most projects in the country, so we require readiness to implement the solution in our locations.

All criteria can be found in the regulations in §3 Entities eligible to apply for the Program.

You will not incur any costs. According to the rules of recruitment for the Budimex Accelerator Program, the application to participate in the program is free of charge. Moreover, at the recruitment stage, remote participation is possible, using video conferences platforms.

Acceleration is customised individually to each startup and depends on the time needed for development, testing and pilot implementation. The duration of acceleration will be determined after pitching with selected startups based on their specific needs and stage of development.
